Honorary Degrees Award Policy

The French-American University accepts requests and recommendations on behalf of candidates for Honorary Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s Degrees.
The University will award honorary degrees to individuals who have made significant contributions to the business, industrial, cultural, educational, intellectual, social, moral or material welfare of society.
Special consideration is given to individuals who feel impelled by a sense of duty to humanity and an earnest desire to make a significant contribution to help democratize or increase the world access to higher education.  Moreover, exceptional humanitarian acts of philanthropy to support the work of the French-American University will be considered.
The honorary degree practice also intends to elevate the University in the eyes of the world by honoring individuals for moral values, achievements in their respective fields of endeavor or outstanding contribution to the welfare of the University.
